Please listen to my words, tell me what's wrong with you?
You are the world to me and now you are the one who broke my heart too,
I know you love me dearly...boy I love you too,
But I am not sure now what I should do,
Because I still have feelings for you,
You hurt me more than you know, my hurt feelings I don't always show;
Do I risk getting hurt again and go with my heart,
Or should I listen to my mind and with you I should part,
I need some space to think things out,
Because I am not sure what you are all about;
It's becoming more evident much more obvious to me,
I thought much more of you than you ever thought of me,
You don't even try when it comes to believing me,
I understand family,friends,work are important, maybe more so than me,
But baby you needed to understand, that slowly you were loosing me.
I may not have left your heart, I was slipping out of touch,
Did you ever see my pain? I cared about you so much.
Never forget that I still do, I love you till this day;
When you speak, I listen it's always been that way,
You seem to be somewhere else, and don't care whatever I say;
I say this to you hoping that some day you will change your ways.
Please stop hurting me, I can't endure this for too many more days.
I need someone I can lean on someone I can count on too,
Yes you are there sometimes for that I am grateful to you,
But I need someone there full time and that you can not do;
I was there when you needed someone,
Where were you when I needed someone, too?
I still long for you... to feel your touch.
But it's not like before, I don't dream it as much.
I still hear you say...no one will love me like you do.
That's so hard to believe now, after the hurt you put me through.
I still love you...but it's just not as strong.
Because I am letting you go now, so we can both move on.
You still have a piece of my heart..because I always felt you here,
But my feelings have changed, and they don't go as far.
I am telling you this in hopes that you will know,
My heart is troubled deeply and this I must show.
